On behalf of Friends of Taylor Observatory, thank you, especially Jessica, for supporting the Lake County Dark Sky Initiative. Your letter to the BOS was very, very important. Supevisor Jim Steele’s proclamation to make dark skies an official policy of the County of Lake was approved unanimously on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. We are very appreciative. Cobb area is a fabulous Dark Sky region of Lake County and should be an excellent astrotourism draw for visitors.
